Building a Sample Panel
In the area of Downtown Charleston covered by the Board of Architectural Review (BAR) – larger projects are required to build what is called a Sample Panel. It is created in stages, so the BAR is able to review and approve each ‘layer’ of the building.
For Harleston Row, we recently took our Sample Panel from just the small window and green waterproofing material, to the felt wrap and the Nichiha and Bamboo siding! You can see the warmth and strength of the materials, and it makes the whole project come to life. The siding should be going on the buildings next week.
